NCL STAR

We left New Orleans on our first cruise with NCL. We have cruised a lot on Royal Caribbean. NCL is definitely not as nice. I guess we don't mind being a little more dressy. I guess we are spoiled!

The balcony was very nice. The only issue we had is that we had and adult chair and a child's chair!

 The room was okay. The couch was very very hard with no arms on it! The tv was very small and very old! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was really good. The best we have ever had on a ship!
 One of my favorite things on the ship is coming back in at night with a new and different towel animal on my bed. 

I love to eat. Food on a cruise is something I really look forward to. This ship was the exception. Almost all of the food was mediocre. The really downside of freestyle cruising is the service. You never see the same servers twice. The ship is big and they are just slamming out the food. The service was always marginal. 

The food was okay. Some meals better than others. The desserts were the worst....

           Let us just say that no one gained any weight on this trip!!!

 We did have a fun meal at Teppanyaki. It was a Japanese "cook it it front of you" place. 
 I went to the spa on the ship and I indulged in a seaweed wrap and a hot rock massage. Two hours of oo la la!!!
 The views from our balcony were really wonderful. I love the ocean.

                     We like to have our pictures taken on the ship. 
I really do love to cruise. I just have higher expectations of the ship. Once I understood that it was a "floating hotel", I let go of my expectations and enjoyed what there was to enjoy!!

 The shows on this ship were good. This couple flew around the stage a lot. They were very good!
